The BerksFHS Web-site

The BerksFHS web-site was created in 1998 by Chad Hanna. In mid-2000 the main part of the site was taken over by Eddie Spackman who greatly updated and expanded the site prior to his premature death in 2005. Terry Wickenden looks after the eMail Discussion archive.

Eddie Spackman constructed and maintained using FrontPage Express (and was aware of its limitations!). Chad Hanna is currently using CSE HTML Validator (both Lite and Standard)

Eddie retired after a career working in Meteorology and associated disciplines largely involved with computing (mostly used as a 'tool' for his climatological, agricultural and other work) spanning a period of nearly 40 years.

Chad was Chairman of the Society since June 2001 until June 2005 and as IT Manager is responsible for setting up the computer-suite at the BerksFHS Research Centre. 

He has worked for many years as a PERL database programmer and is the lead programmer for the FamilyHistoryOnline site.
