Berkshire Overseers' Papers

The single CD is arranged into volumes for each Poor Law Union and a master index.

Despite being arranged by Poor Law Union, the records date from before 1834. Each volume commences with a description of the contents and an explanation of the indexing, which is by name, place and occupation at the end of each volume. Examples of typical documents are given at the start of each volume.
