For those parishes whose churches have bells
there should be an entry for the church in
the web pages of the Oxford Diocesan Guild (ODG)
of Church bell ringers. Start by looking at http://www.parishes.oxford.anglican.org/odg/
Then look at the list of Branches. There are
15 branches, under each branch there is a list of
towers in the branch with their O.S.Grid
locations. The branches relevant to Berkshire are
probably Chiltern, East Berks & South Bucks,
Newbury, Old North Berks, Reading. Of
course this only helps if you know roughly the
area where the parish you want is to be found.
The ODG stretches a very long way, well South of
Reading and Newbury, it is not just the current
county of Oxon.
