Windsor, Slough and Maidenhead Branch Essential Information

This branch meets on the last Tuesday evening of each month except in August and December at

Christ Church United Reformed Church
William Street
Windsor
SL4 1BA

Doors open at 7.15pm and meetings begin at 7.45pm

For registered charities, provision of public benefit is a legal requirement. It follows that visitors are always welcome at Branch meetings and events. Where they can afford to do so, visitors are encouraged to donate £3 when attending a meeting. This is a suggested contribution towards costs incurred by the society in arranging local activities.

There is only limited parking at the Church itself but there is a multi-storey car park on the corner of Victoria Street and Alexandra Road, immediately opposite William Street.

Go to the Events Calendar for details of this month's meeting.

The branch has an excellent lending library for society members who may borrow books, magazines etc or consult reference books.  There are also some data CDs relevant to Berkshire research.

Meetings comprise a talk on various topics of interest to all researchers — whether complete newcomers to family history or seasoned 'experts' of many years' standing. Talks are delivered by speakers who are acknowledged experts in their subjects. After the talk, there is time for questions followed by tea or coffee and biscuits. There is an excellent raffle too which is a fund booster, and a monthly newsletter with details of the current evening and future meetings and other events of interest to family and local historians.

Other activities

This Branch operates a number of regular outreach events each month, including drop-in sessions at The Curve in Slough. See the calendar for more details.
