The End of World War One and its aftermath: with Mike Cooper

Mike Cooper is a local historian, author and popular speaker.  The Great War didn't end on 11th November 1918.  What was signed was only an Armistice, and peace treaties had to wait until 1919.  Mike Cooper looks at how and why the War ended and at the immediate consequences for Europe and places as far afield as Samoa and Tanzania.

For attendees wishing to do some family research whilst visiting the Centre, the research zone computers will be open from 1pm.

TICKETS: £5 (members £4) includes tea and cake.  Advanced booking is highly recommended but you can pay on the door (subject to availability).
