St Mary's Church Hall

Church Lane

Shaw

Doors open at 7.15 pm, meetings begin at 7.45 pm

Visitors are always welcome

Free car parking adjacent to the centre.

The church does not have a postcode. For SatNav guidance, use RG14 2DR, but please be aware that the church is 100 metres beyond this point.

How to find St Mary's Church Hall
(This links to the church's website and opens a new tab or window)

Here is a road map to St Mary's Church Hall. Please refer to the church link above for accurate information on the roads immediately around the church. (This uses www.streetmap.co.uk and opens a new tab or window)

Most meetings include a talk on a topic of general interest to most family historians and given by a speaker who is an acknowledged authority on that subject. There are also news items.

A branch lending library is brought to most meetings and items from the Society's shop can be ordered for collection at the next meeting. The main talk is generally followed by questions and then refreshments. Meetings usually end by 9.30pm.

Go to the Events Calendar for details about this month's meeting.

Other Branch Activities

Trips

The branch organises occasional trips to destinations such as The National Archives, the British Library Newspaper Library and county record offices.

Advice Sessions

From time to time, members provide advice at Newbury Library (on The Wharf in Newbury). Local events will be advertised on this site and in the local 'what's on' publication Out & About.
