The Computer Steering Group
(currently defunct) initiated and guided a wide variety of computing activities and
education events like Workshops and
Seminars. However, the eMail
Discussion Group continues to help Family Historians use their computers and
software and to help them solve problems.
There is broadband
access to the Internet when the Research Centre is open and experts
are available to answer questions on Tuesday evenings and 2nd Sunday
afternoons.
The
Steering Group was an ad hoc group which considered strategic computer
issues affecting the Society and educational
activities for its members. It met when required (usually every 2
months).
