Computing Activities for Family Historians

  • There is a Computer Branch that meets once a month in Woodley

  • The Internet is available (using a Broadband connection) whenever the Research Centre is open. It can be used to search data bases such as the 1901 Census and LDS FamilySearch. There is no need to book - just turn up.

  • On Tuesday evenings (from 7pm to 9:30pm) and the 2nd Sunday in the month afternoons (when open) 'experts' will normally be available to answer computing questions and to give tuition and help on any computing matter affecting a Family Historian.

  • Computing Workshops are held Saturday or Sunday from at irregular intervals at the Research Centre to help members and non-members in the use of their computer and its software for Family History. These are hands-on sessions and have to be booked. None are scheduled at present.

  • An eMail Discussion Group is run for members.
