We enjoyed Else' talk to our Branch meeting
very much. It was most unfortunate that we did
not have a full house as Else, who is very
knowledgeable was able to impart such a lot of
interesting detail, and not only about the
Society of Genealogists' Library.
Else took us through the Library, which many
of us had not seen before, and those who knew the
library as it had been had our eyes opened to the
new and wonderful, reasonably recent changes in
the SoG Library layout.
As one of those people who had been used to
the varying reliability of any of the SoG's
microfiche readers and printers, it was
absolutely mind blowing to find that they now
have a suite of new computers, and that their
microfiche readers are in order.
Else told us about English Origins, and what
was available via this for members of the SoG and
non-members too.
