Visit to the Oxfordshire Museum Resource Centre, Standlake

12 March 2007 - Sue Matthews provided the following summary:

Members visiting the Oxfordshire Museum Resource Centre, Standlake, March 200715 Vale of the White Horse branch members, along with the Berkshire Family History Society chairman, Jocie McBride, visited the Oxfordshire Museum Resource Centre at Standlake.

The Keeper of Reserve Collections, Kirsty Bell took us on a guided tour. She told us all about the history of the building and about the artefacts stored there ready to go out to Museums around the county. She also told us about the conservation and restoration work that goes on there.

I am sure the party enjoyed their nostalgic evening. More information about the Resource Centre can be found on the links below.
