Register Transcripts from Hugh

In the last edition of the Berkshire Family
Historian there was an item entitled 'A hot tip
from Oxfordshire'. On-line websites were
mentioned for a transcript of Appleford Bishops
Transcripts. This was not a transcript of the
Appleford Bishops Transcripts and the web site
has now been removed. The Parish Registers were
originally transcribed by the late John Brookes
up to 1837 and had been available on microfiche.
The Parish Registers have now been re-transcribed
and extended by the Oxfordshire Family History
Society to cover: Baptisms, 1563 to 1984;
Marriages, 1563 to 1989; and Burials, 1564 to
1988. The new transcript is now available on
microfiche from both the Berkshire (and
Oxfordshire) Family History (Societies).
