How to contact a member
You can contact a member of the BerksFHS
(e.g. if you think you have a common name interest)
- provided you know his or her membership number.
You do NOT have to be a member of our society to use this service

by eMail

If (and ONLY if) on our Members Interests pages the member number is followed by (E) we can forward an eMail messages from you to the member.
Send your eMail toeMail address for Member Contact
If you use any other address, processing of your message will be delayed

Include in the subject of the message
the membership number of the person you wish to contact
the name interest
Include in the body of the message
your own email address, and a short account of the reason for your interest and that you found the information on the BerksFHS website.

Do NOT include an attachment.

You will receive an acknowledgement when your message is forwarded to the member - this should normally take place within 10 days.

When the member cannot be contacted by eMail:
  • write to the Society, quoting your eMail address, at:

  • quote the membership number and name interest(s) (or other reason for the contact) of the member you wish to contact
  • enclose a letter to the member and an envelope for it to be posted in
  • enclose a self-addressed (unstamped) envelope for a reply from the member
  • enclose 3 second class stamps or 3 IRCs (International Reply Coupons) which you can buy at your local Post Office
    (one for the letter to the member, one for a reply from the member and one as a donation to the society)

    We will forward the letter to the member.

  • If the person can no longer be contacted we will inform you and return one stamp/IRC.

If you receive no response within 2 months please eMail our Member Contact address as above.
