Our discussion group enables members of the BerksFHS to exchange information on any Family History or Computer topic of current interest. An archive (see below) is kept of these messages.

An archive (which has a search facility) of past emails is kept in the members area at <www.berksfhs.org.uk/members/email/> which is updated at the end of every month.

Computer viruses

These are potentially a very serious threat to anyone who uses the internet for 'surfing' or for sending eMail messages. We have some anti-virus advice which all members should read.

Broadband Access (UK)

Broadband connection to the Internet are now (May 2002) available at an affordable price - if you are in the right area. Some advice is provided to help members decide whether they should take up a broadband service by cable or ADSL.
