Birth brief contact by post

If there is no ‘email’ after the BBID on the Birth Briefs Index pages, please write to the society at The Centre for Heritage and Family History, with the following:

  • confirmation of your email address and membership number
  • the BBID number of the member you wish to contact
  • the SURNAME plus forename of interest
  • a short letter to the member explaining your interest
  • a blank envelope for your information to be forwarded to the member concerned
  • a self-addressed (unstamped) envelope for a reply from the member
  • 3 x first- or second-class stamps or 3 x IRCs (International Reply Coupons*)
    (one for the letter to the member, one for their reply and one as a donation to the society for this service).

Please note: Royal Mail ceased selling International Reply Coupons for use in overseas destinations in 2011, but continues to redeem them when sent from overseas.

Address your envelope to:

Mr Alan Brooker, 6 Meadow Way, Old Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 2NX and mark your envelope WS/MemC.

If the person you wish to contact is still a society member, your material will be passed on to them. If not, the society will tell you and one stamp/IRC will be returned.
