Berkshire Marriages Third Edition CD

This CD has transcriptions of 165,000 marriage and 4,500 banns entries from more than 172 parish and non-parochial registers of the 'old' Royal County of Berkshire- 50 of them NEW to this edition. It provides details of over 580,000 individuals. The CD is priced at just £20 (plus postage and packing). Updates from the First and Second Editions are also now available (usual updating conditions apply).

Technical Note

Berkshire Marriages is supplied in Adobe Reader format. A copy of Adobe Reader for MS Windows is also supplied. Users of Mac, Unix and other operating systems can download a suitable version of Adobe Reader Minimum requirements for these CDs - Adobe Reader 7.0

The second Edition of Berkshire Marriages brought transcriptions of over 450,000 names of grooms, brides, fathers and witnesses from over 140,000 marriages recorded in registers and Bishops’ Transcripts of Berkshire parishes. This new edition brings about 18 per cent more entries than its predecessor. Work is continuing until all available Berkshire Marriages have been accurately transcribed.

A number of North Berkshire and Vale of the White Horse parishes are included but those absorbed from Buckinghamshire after the 1974 boundary changes are not yet present. For the first time, this Third Edition also contains  banns entries from ten parishes. Full details of parishes and periods covered can be found below.
