'Life on the River Thames' - Talk series - First talk of five (Thu. 12 Jul, 2018 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

Amelia Dyer and the baby farm murders: with Angela Buckley

On 30th March 1896, a bargeman recovered a parcel from the River Thames at Caversham.  Inside the brown paper package was the body of a baby girl - she had been strangled with tape.  When two more tiny bodies were found in a carpet bag, the police knew they had a serial killer at large.  Author and prominent genealogist, Angela Buckley, recounts the frantic race to stop one of Britain's most prolific serial killers.
