The society's usual membership year begins on 1st July.
Renewal payments are due on or before 1st July — unless you have recently joined on an extended membership offer, on a gift membership, or are an honorary member of the society.
The trustees ask current members to renew their membership in good time. This ensures that you receive your September copy of the Berkshire Family Historian and your new membership card which is enclosed with your magazine.
A late renewal increases society costs substantially, and makes extra work for society volunteers.
Whenever you choose to renew, please consider adding a donation to your renewal payment to help in work undertaken by the society.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please Gift Aid your payments to the society, (your renewal — and past or future membership payments all qualify for Gift Aid). If you have not recently made one, make a Gift Aid declaration now
As well as the Historian, your membership payment helps to fund a wide range of society activities. These include transcription projects, publications and services, research facilities, educational programmes and events, central and local meetings, contributing to hall hire costs and speaker fees, and outreach activities.
For out-of-county members, payments help to extend online services, including the Discussion List.
